Intensive, one to one training for managers and other professionals who wish to improve their written and spoken business English.

Style of Training

We are a small, specialist operation, with a strong preference for providing individual training, consequently all our training is conducted on a one to one basis.

Our training is specifically designed for those who have already attained an intermediate level in English, or those whose first language is English, but wish to improve their business English skills.
We are based in a quiet, peaceful market town in rural Devon, in the South West of England.

Our Approach

Our English language training is based on a three-fold strategy:

1)Personalised Programmes

The training will reflect your individual requirements. Pre-course questionniares will establish a clear guide to the level, particular needs and the business context for the training programme.

2)Business Emphasis

The training is designed to be particularly relevant to managers and executives who need to improve their confidence in communicating in English, especially discussing and explaining aspects of their own discipline.

A significant part of each day's training is structured business discussions, which are geared towards your individual discipline or area of specialisation. This includes ample opportunity for experimenting with and giving presentations, which is always a concern in a foreign language.

3)Integration and Intensity

The training encompasses three elements: work-related business language, formal language and informal English language skills. All three are essential prerequisites for succeeding in a business environment.

Each activity is designed to constantly reinforce the aspects learnt in the previous sessions by carefully linking all three.

The comparatively long training day ensures that there is ample opportunity for understanding, assimilating and practising all the language skills.
