					  <description> The Serious Games Institute is launching an innovative short course in Mobile Applications Development. Based on the Coventry University Technology Park, the Institute aims to offer a unique 'start-up' package to organisations or individuals who have a desire to create their own mobile App. A course of this nature has never been available to 'non-techies' before and is sure to be welcomed  by those who have a great idea in mind, but just don't know where to begin.  Participants  will be guided through a structured programme that will cover topics such as the current mobile landscape, innovative marketing tools, intellectual property rights and access to finance.
 A University graduate  will be assigned to each member of the course and will be on hand to provide technical expertise and actually develop the App. As a result of attending the course participants will  possess  a functioning prototype App of their own design complete with a dedicated business plan. The first course will run from Monday 19th July 2010 until Friday 23rd July 2010. The course fee of &#163;1795+VAT includes the use of all hardware and software for the duration of the week, including daily lunch and refreshments. 
To celebrate the launch of this exciting opportunity the Serious Games Institute is offering a 20% discount for the first 10 places booked. West Midlands based  companies may also be able to secure a grant towards their costs.
